Arlene Theresa Lanzon
September 3, 1937 — August 23, 2022
Our Sweet Mother Arlene Lanzon passed away peacefully on August 23, 2022.
She was born one of twelve children to Walter and Edith Horan in Brooklyn NY on September 3, 1937.
In addition to her three sisters, Lorraine Trocchio, Linda Horan and Ellen Glover.
She is survived by her son Fred Lanzon and wife Pat, daughter Justine Lanzon; grandchildren, Freddy Lanzon and Christina, Steven Lanzon and Katie, Scott Lanzon and Crystal, Carly Crickenberger and Jamie Deane, Buck Cody Crickenberger and Ariel.
Mom was a petite strong woman who liked to be independent, but loved being with family and friends. She was known as the Puzzle Queen. You would likely see a jigsaw puzzle on her table all the time. She was always up for many games of Yahtzee or cards with family and friends. For many years she could be found lounging by her pool or splashing around in it with her grandchildren.
We are so grateful for the loving care she received at the end of her life. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at UVA and Hospice of the Piedmont.
She and her beautiful smile will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, Virginia 22968.
