Barbara Ann Dickson

Barbara Ann Dickson, 73 of Dyke, Virginia died on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

She was born on November 14, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the oldest daughter of the late Ruth Arline Wartman and William Dickson Jr.

She is survived by a sister, Deanna Dickson and her husband, Hossein of New Milford, Ct.; her  daughters, Ruthann Yonkovig of Stanardsville, VA., Deborah Hennen and her husband, Greg of Dyke, VA, and Jennifer Vitali and her husband, Chris of  Trumbull CT.; three grandchildren, Julia and Christopher Vitali and Lillian Morris and her niece, Beth Pollock and her husband, Eric

Barbara retired from Korn/Ferry International in Stamford, CT. in 2000. Before that she worked for many years at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT. Since moving to Dyke she has been very much involved with the Greene County, Virginia Chapter of Habitat For Humanity.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm on Friday April 4, 2014 at Mount Olivet Church in Dyke, VA. 

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 5, 2014  at Mount Olivet Church with Rev. Janet Hatfield Legro officiating.

 Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greene County PO Box 150 Ruckersville, VA 22968 and / or Mount Olivet Church.
