Barbara Kaye Taylor

Barbara Kaye Taylor, best known as Kaye, passed away on July 7, 2024. She was born January 31, 1963 to the late Frederick Morris and Eva Moubray Morris in Harrisonburg, VA. 

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Curtis Taylor and her precious newborn, Krystal Nicole Taylor. 

Kaye was an amazing, hardworking woman. She loved her family dearly, especially her two grandchildren who were the light of her life. She thoroughly enjoyed spoiling them, they never had to doubt that MawMaw loved them. Kaye kept herself busy with many things including gardening, especially flowers, and visiting with friends and family. Her favorite color was purple. She adored her animals whether it was dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, etc. 

Kaye is survived by her husband, Curtis Taylor Sr.; her son Curtis Taylor Jr. and wife Laura Taylor; son, Michael Taylor and fiancée Jessica Smith; her two grandchildren, Leah Taylor and Michael Taylor Jr.; and many other family and friends. 

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Batten Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Batten Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following at Middle River Church Cemetery.
