Beulah Marie Shifflett
Beulah Marie Shifflett, 87, of Dyke, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012. She was born on October 29, 1925 in Albemarle County to the late Herbert and Arlene Collier.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Shifflett, a son, Albert Shifflett, a newborn son and four siblings.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary L. Powell and her husband, Clarence, two sons, James Randy Shifflett and his wife, Tamara and their family and Ronnie Lee Shiflett and his wife, Marie and their family.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren whom she helped raise as her own, Elbert W. Breeden, Jr., Roger D. Breeden, Starr E. Fisher and Donnie D. Breeden, four sisters, Bertha L. Morris, Barbara J. Shifflett, Shirley Knight and Linda Collier, and her husband, William, seven other great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren and a very dear friend who visited her often, Deborah Riggs.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nortonsville Pentecostal Church where she was a faithful member just about all of her life.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Nortonsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Brother, Ellis Roach, Brother Frank Chapman and Brother Gary Walker officiating.
Interment will follow in the Nortonsville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
