Brandon Russell Morris, 39, of Greene County, Virginia, left this world far too soon on November 24, 2025. To those who loved him, Brandon was more than a son, a father, or a friend — he was a steady presence, a warm laugh, and a true piece of home.
Born with a love for the outdoors, Brandon found his greatest joy in the simple beauty of nature. Whether he was casting a line into a quiet stream, tracking through the woods, or spending peaceful days in the open air, he felt most at home surrounded by the world he loved so much.
Brandon had a way of making people feel welcome, understood, and never alone. He could calm a storm with a joke, lift a heavy day with a smile, and lighten the load of anyone who needed it. He lived with sincerity, loyalty, and a quiet strength that made others feel safe.
His loss leaves an empty space that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain in every sunrise over a quiet field, every cast of a fishing line, and every story told with a laugh he would’ve loved.
Brandon leaves behind three beloved children — Haley, Hunner, and Hayden Morris, as well as his parents, Tina and Bobby Morris, his sister Kierstin Runion, and his grandmother Jean Johnson. His spirit, warmth, and devotion will continue to live on through them.
Brandon will be remembered for his kindness, his easy smile, and the way he brought comfort and laughter to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial will be held in his honor on Sunday, December 14th, at 11 AM at Batten Funeral Home.
Arrangements are entrusted to Batten Funeral Home of Ruckersville, Virginia.
