Bruce Davison Griffin went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2017.

Bruce was born November 24, 1950, in the middle of a flood. He was one of five children of Robert and Shirley Griffin, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Griffin, whom he met in 1967 in the Nutmeg Ranger Drum Corp. They were married in 1971.
He is also survived by his children; daughter, Tina Griffin Safley; son, Jeffery Bruce Griffin and his wife, Amy Johnston Griffin; and his greatest joy, his grandchildren, Katie and Sara Safley, Cade, Addyson, and Owen Griffin; three brothers, Wayne Griffin and his wife, Lynn; Gary Griffin, Bobby Griffin and his wife, Vicki; sister, Ann Griffin Egan and her husband, Mike; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bruce was Master Carpenter and owned a cabinet business, Progress Cabinets, for 22 years. He was a lifetime member of the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department. He served alongside his friends for 40 years as a volunteer firefighter. He loved to go camping with his family and enjoyed watching NASCAR. His trips to the beach and wine tastings, with his loving wife, Linda, were what he looked forward to the most.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, Virginia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home with interment following at Holly Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Bruce requested that donations be made in his name to the Stanardsville Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 165, Stanardsville, VA 22973.
