Bruce Lion Raddock

Bruce Lion Raddock, 75, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. He was born on January 31, 1948 to the late Maxwell and Lillian Raddock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Kay Stewart and his sister Carole Raddock.

He is survived by his son Aaron Raddock and wife Elisa of Vienna, Virginia, two brothers Frank Raddock of Stamford, Connecticut and Richard Raddock of McLean, Virginia, and two grandchildren Owen and Allison Raddock.

Bruce received his master’s degree in psychology and went on to own and operate a health food store in Manhattan, New York, as well as a Vitamin/Book Store and restaurant. When Bruce's wife, Maureen died at an early age, Bruce raised his, then, young son, Aaron, on his own. He relocated to Greene County in 2003, and later became a member of the Koinonia Church in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Bruce treasured his family, friends, and the Lord. In his last years, Bruce also loved and cared for his cat, Obadiah (“Obad”). Bruce loved to help people in need and fellowship with groups of believers, including those at Koinonia Church. He tried to live a life informed by his faith and do what he believed was right.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 4:00pm at Koinonia Church on Ivy Road in Charlottesville.
