Carrie Beth Harper

Carrie Beth Harper, age 52, tragically died on 8/22/20 after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Joan Keys Harper and Gary L. Harper, Sr.. She is survived by Daniel Johnson for whom she cared for deeply.  Carrie adored her little dog Maddy; she was her baby. Carrie is also survived by siblings and respective spouses; Karen H. Eisenman (David), Stacy H. Morrison (Scott) and Gary L. Harper, Jr. (Cindy); nieces Sarah E. Wilson (Laura), Rebecca E. Butler (Brett), Lee H. Pulatie (Derek) and  nephew, William Harper, as well as great nieces, Harper and Celeste. Also left to grieve her absence are her many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Carrie grew up in Roanoke, Va., attended VCU and VWCC where she obtained a LPN. She was employed by the UVa  Human Resources Department for over 22 years and will be sadly missed by her work family.

Carrie was a happy person with a great wit and contagious laugh who always appreciated humor in the irony of the human condition. No one can ever remember her being angry. She was fun to be around and her absence will leave a hole in our family forever.

A Memorial service will be held at a future date.
