Catherine J. Deane, 64, of Columbia, VA was called home on May 8, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on June 7, 1948 to the late Melton and Louise Jackson.
Mrs. Deane was employed for over 30 years with the University of Virginia Medical Center Orthopedic Department. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert G. Deane, son, Robert G. Deane, Jr and his wife, Carolyn, grandson, Christopher G. Deane and his wife, Jessica, sister, Mary Ann Hodges and her husband, Davis, mother-in-law, Maxine Patterson, sister-in-laws, Rita Moore and Debra Hunt and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 50 Old Columbia Rd, Columbia, VA 23038 with Rev. William Bess officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 50 Old Columbia Rd, Columbia, VA 23038.
