Cecil William Shifflett, Jr.

Cecil William Shifflett Jr. 67 of Stanardsville passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Cecil was born on October 20, 1953 in Charlottesville Va, the eldest son of the late Cecil William Shifflett Sr and Margaret Elizabeth (Breeden) Shifflett.

He was also preceded in death by his Grandmother, Magnolia Breeden “Grandma B” who helped raise him.

Cecil is survived by his children Ashley Danielle Garth and husband Jeremy of Stanardsville, Jon Shifflett of Stanardsville and girlfriend Whitney Hensley, grandchildren Lathan and Bryleigh Garth, brother(s) and sister, Kenny Shifflett, Carolyn Lawson, and Buck Shifflett all of Stanardsville, a close aunt, Darlene Housden and many other family and friends.

A special thank you to UVA’s Cardiac ICU for taking care of him during his brief stay there.

A memorial celebration is planned for a later date.
