Charles Dean Holmes, 80, of Stanardsville, VA passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1934 in New York to the late George and Pearl Clark Holmes.
He is survived by his companion, Beatrice B. Holmes and her children, Sonny and Marian Stephens, Patricia and Lyman Crosby, Trudy and Orville Dean, and Bonnie and James Herring; his children, Charles Holmes, Jr., Debra Myers, Dean Holmes and Scott Holmes; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Patrick Holmes, Edward Holmes, Genevieve Vervalin, Winnie Miller and Mike Holmes.
Arrangements for Mr. Holmes are private.
Ryan Funeral Home of Ruckersville, VA is handling the arrangements.
