Christopher Gregory Balich

Christopher Balich, 85, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born on April 25, 1941, to the late Marco and Giovanini Balich.

Christopher was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jean Balich; his children, Gregory, Barbara (Robert), Carol, Mark (Rosemarie), and Patricia (Timothy); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a great source of joy and pride to him.

Christopher was the kind of person who had a way of making the people around him smile. Everyone who knew him knew that if you came to visit, there was a good chance you were going home with a flashlight. It was one of those little things that became a part of who he was and a memory his family and friends will always treasure.

Christopher was a true patriot who loved his country and took great pride in being an American. He also had a sharp mind and a love of knowledge, and he was a wiz at Jeopardy, often impressing those around him with the breadth of his knowledge and his ability to come up with the answers.

He enjoyed shooting when he was able and loved listening to music. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and, most of all, the time spent with the people he cared about.

Christopher leaves behind many wonderful memories that will be cherished by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A funeral mass will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church on Wednesday, 09/09/2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. Following interment a reception will be held at Shepard of the Hills Church Hall.
