David Lawrence Branch (57) of Stanardsville, Virginia, passed away on May 21, 2025. Born October 12, 1967, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Virginia Morris, one brother, Roger, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Ree), of 37 years, his only son, Logan (Monica), two grandkids, McKenna and Isaac, whom he treasured, and a special niece, Katelyn, whom he thought of as a daughter. He is also survived by his sister Aimee Bunch and two brothers, Steve Branch and Wayne Morris.
David was known as a master carpenter. He worked for Martin Horn Construction for over 10 years before starting his own construction company, D&M Construction, in 2000. He had hands that could build or fix anything. You could always find him at his shop building something, working on his classic mustangs, playing with his grandkids, or playing with his best friend Ace (his boxer).
His favorite thing was being a PawPaw, as he and Nana loved stopping by to surprise the grandkids, giving them a truck ride to the pond or a piggyback ride.
He was a hard-working man and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and anyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Batten Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
