David Lee Hicks

David Lee Hicks, of Scottsville VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep June 13, 2022 after fighting a long battle with congenital heart disease and kidney failure. 

David was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Sprouse ; his father, Bobby Lawrence Hicks; and Son, David Lee Hicks Jr. 

David was the middle child of 5 children, and is survived by his sister's Sandra Hicks Skeen of Crozet and Susan Hicks Harmon and (Mike) of Arrington VA; his brothers Bobby L. Hicks of California and Michael Hicks (Felicia) of Troy VA; his beautiful children, whom he loved whole heartedly, Joann Scott-Hicks, Katelynn, Kimberly, Caleb, Logan Hicks and Dwayne Houchens, whom he loved like his own; Grandchildren Laynna Hicks and 2 others that have not arrived yet as well as several nieces and nephews, Aunts Uncles and cousins that he was very close to. 

David was a Floor Installation Specialist and Jack of All Trades. Passionate, Outgoing, and Adventuresome. Though he was often misunderstood, his family and children meant the world to him. He loved fishing, laughing, and cooking anything outdoors. Always trying to live, life to its fullest. 

He was a Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, And Friend, an amazing good-hearted person who will be sorely missed.
