David Woodrow Shifflett
David Woodrow Shifflett, 74, of Free Union, VA passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on September 7, 1939 in Charlottesville to the late Claude and Beulah Morris Shifflett.
Woodrow was a retired VDOT employee and a member of the Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church in Boonesville. He was a wonderful, well liked man who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brothers, Claude Hamilton and his wife, Eleanor and Alvin Lee, his sisters, Beverly Carpenter and her husband, Joe and Sandra Shifflett, his nephew, Darryl Shifflett and his wife, Melanie, two great nephews, Thomas and Christopher and one great niece, Megan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
Following the visitation a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Prize Hill Cemetery with Rev. Buster Payne officiating.
