Deborah Sillett

Deborah (Boo Ann) Sillett of Ruckersville, VA passed away at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Debby was born April 17, 1951, in Albemarle County.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Thomas Wayne Sillett, Sr., her granddaughters Kaila Paige Sillett (boy friend Connor) and Hailee Grace Sillett (boy friend Ross), Kari Sillett the mother of Kaila and Hailee, her brother Allan (Suzanne) Hatcher, sister Sharyon (Billy) Rogers, Lisa (Greg) Bugg, Rhonda (Scotty) Snow, brother-in-law Dolf Mendicino, sisters-in-law Brenda Piotrowski, Sherry (Roger) Deane and many nieces and nephews.

Debby was preceded in death by her parents Marietta Virginia Boone and Carl Hatcher, Jr., her son Thomas Wayne Sillett, II, her brother Larry Hatcher, sister Denise Mendicino and sister-in-law Constance Sillett.

Debby was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her family meant the world to her as was evident by the love she showed them. She enjoyed gardening and had many beautiful flowers in her yard. She had a love for cats and cared for many. She was caring and giving to others and will be greatly missed.

Debby by nature was a caregiver. She always had others in her heart. She babysat for many children over the years and was still in contact with some of them, especially one whom she loved dearly, Devon Davis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18th, from 10 am to 11 am at Batten Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, with interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Batten Funera Home of Ruckersville, Virginia.
