Donnie Ray Collier, Sr

Donnie Ray Collier, Sr., was born on December 23, 1956 to Emogine and Dennis Collier. He joined Our Father in heaven on May 7, 2019 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Collier and his daughter-in-law, Nicole Shifflett.

Donnie is survived by his longtime companion and love of his life, Faye Shifflett, who was as devoted to him as he was to her until his last breath.

He is survived by his four children, Donnie Collier Jr. and his wife, Stacie, Daniel Collier, Angel Collier and JoLisa Houchens.

He was the proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren, Dakota Shifflett, Dylan Shifflett, Asia Collier, Austin Collier, Thomas “J.R.” Houchens, Makaila-Rae Collier, Tanner Houchens, Randolph Shifflett and Liam Shifflett.

Additional survivors include his sister, Faye Smith and her husband, Randy; brother, Charles Collier and his wife, Susie; sister, Betty Repass and her husband, Arnold; and brother, Mike Collier and his wife, Cathy.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968, with Pastor Philip Knight officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Mt. Paran Cemetery.
