Douglas Linwood Hinton

Douglas Linwood Hinton, 83, of Falls Church, VA, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 after a short battle with lung cancer.  He was born on September 10, 1936 in Clarke County, VA.

Doug joined the Army National Guard from 1955 – 1965. After his service to our country, Doug spent many years as a long haul trucker, eventually retiring from SW Rogers where he operated heavy equipment.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Hinton; his mother, Virginia Clarke Jenkins Hinton; and his sister, Audrey Hinton Pannell.

Doug is survived by his children, Audrey Michelle Hinton of Culpeper, VA, Virginia Clarke Hinton Green of Madison, VA, Brian Keith Hinton of Midland, VA, and Heather Rae Burton of Jeffersonton, VA. In addition to his children, he is survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.
