Elizabeth Hall Godwin

Elizabeth “Betty” Hall Godwin, 89, of Stanardsville, VA passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at her home. She was born in Newport, Delaware, daughter of the late Robert E. Hall and Hattie Sheldon Hall.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert E. Godwin; her children, Pamela K. Edwards (Dennis), Robert E. Godwin, Jr., and Barbara A. Graves (Robert); brother, James Hall (Florence); 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brothers, Elmer Hall, Thomas Hall and Robert L. Hall; and sister, Olive Bunting.

Betty “B.G.” was an Executive Assistant with CenTel for many years and was also a longstanding member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Piedmont for their love and support during this time.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with the Rev. Samuel R. Plymale officiating.
