Ellen Marie Roach Morris

Ellen Marie Roach Morris, 89, of Stanardsville passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Elkton, Virginia.
Ellen was born September 21, 1927 in Charlottesville, Virginia, daughter of the late John Irving Roach and Polly Morris Roach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Morris, Sr. and all of her siblings. She was the last surviving sibling.
Ellen is survived by her daughters, Jannie M. Greiman and her husband, Larry of Stanardsville, Gloria Faye Shifflett and her husband, Dick of Elkton; son, James W. Morris, Jr. of Stanardsville; her “pride and joy” granddaughter, Priscilla Faye Shifflett and fiancé, Eric of Shenandoah; special nieces, Kay Lamm and Lorraine Lewis; special nephew, Ernest Shifflett, Jr.; and special neighbor and friend, Nona Williams.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Middle River Pentecostal Church Cemetery with Pastor James Akerson officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brooke Bostic and Medi Home Health and Hospice for all of their love and support.
The family would also like to thank Pastor James Akerson for his faithfully visits to Ellen and to Ryan Funeral Home for their kindness during this difficult time.
