Elvin Troche

The family of Elvin Troche is deeply saddened to announce his passing on March 9, 2026. Born on November 15, 1974, in Brooklyn, New York, Elvin lived a full and remarkable life. He touched the hearts of everyone he met through his generous spirit, selfless nature, and over 20 years of dedicated service at Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT).

Elvin will be lovingly remembered by his children, Nicholas Troche, Jahnathan Troche, Kolion Troche, Diamond Troche, and Destinee Auman (Ryan); his mother Evelyn Martinez, father Ervin Troche, stepfather Luis Justiniano, his grandchildren, Jahnathan Troche Jr., Ryan Auman Jr., and Liliana Auman; brothers Nelson Troche-Hayes (Tiyale) and Rafael Troche, two nephews, and cherished friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Batten Funeral Home, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with a repass to follow. The family thanks Cedars Healthcare Center, Gentiva Hospice, and Batten Funeral Home for their compassion and care.

Elvin is now at peace, resting in the arms of the Lord he loved so dearly, and his legacy of love and generosity will live on forever.
