Eugene Junior Shifflett
Eugene Junior Shifflett, 76, of Ruckersville, VA died on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1936 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Eugene and Rosella Collier Shifflett.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Delores Shifflett, his children, Gary Shifflett and his wife, Natlie Laverne, Michael Morris, Brenda Shifflett and her husband, Randy, Roy Shifflett and his wife, Linda, Sandy Marshall, Crystal Morris, Wayne Fitzkee, Faye Mathyas, Connie Calderon, Jeff Fitzkee and Diana, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, a special grandson, R.B., Moon and two great grandchildren that he helped raise, Joshua and Cynthia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Fitzkee and his siblings, Edna Thomas, Dewey Shifflett, Wesley Shifflett, David Shifflett, Herman Shifflett, Harmon Shifflett, Dora Rogers, Amos Shifflett, Mary Powell and Clara Shifflett.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Lamb officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1445 Rio Rd E Charlottesville, VA 22901.
