Ewald August Tyburski, 92, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, at UVA Hospital.
Born on November 27, 1933, in Eastern Germany, Ewald built a life centered on hard work, dedication, and love for his family. In 1981, he moved from Easthampton, Massachusetts, to Virginia, where he continued to make his home.
A lifetime self-employed electrician, Ewald took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others. His craftsmanship and commitment to his trade earned the respect of those who knew him throughout the years.
On May 24, 1956, he married the love of his life, Edna Tyburski. Together they shared 70 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, devotion, and treasured family memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August G. Tyburski and Pauline I. Gudel, and by his son Siegfried Tyburski.
Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Edna Tyburski; his children, Al Tyburski, Richard Tyburski, Irene Coleman, Robert Tyburski, and Kenneth (Christine) Tyburski; his grandchildren, Jason Tyburski, Christina Tyburski, Robert Tyburski, Brittany Tyburski, Richard Brett Tyburski, Brooke Tyburski, Emily Tyburski, and Kathleen Everett; and his great-grandson, Mark Tyburski.
Ewald will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family will never be forgotten.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Batten Funeral Home in Ruckersville, Virginia. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
