Florene H. Asher

Florene Henrietta Asher, 89, of Springfield, VA, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at The Harbor at Renaissance of Greene. She was born on July 15, 1928, in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Hector and Celina DeSmet.

She is survived by her children, Mary Steinberg and her husband, Ron of Chicago, IL, Lesley Rackowski and her husband, Thomas of Portland, NY, James Asher and his wife, Brooke of Earlysville, VA, and Daniel Asher and Carol Leitkam of Reston, VA; grandchildren, Andrew Rackowski and his wife, Candice of Arlington, WA, Brandon Rackowski of Portland, NY, Ryan Asher of Chicago, IL, and Cydney Asher of Chicago, IL; and two great grandchildren, Ezra Kacy-Cummins and Eden Sue Rackowski.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, James Lester Asher, seven sisters and two brothers.

Services for Mrs. Asher will be held at a later date.
