Frances Marie Thacker

Frances Marie Thacker, 75, of Earlysville, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Thursday January 6, 2022 at her home. 

Marie was born August 21, 1946 in Charlottesville, Virginia, daughter of the late Jake Collier and Hazel D. Collier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William J. Thacker and sisters Hazel Jake Collier and Margaret Ann Houchens. 

Marie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas K. Thacker; son, Thomas D. Thacker, daughter, Grace L. Thacker; grandchildren, Erica Thacker, Thomas Thacker, Jr. (Brooke), Christopher Thacker (Brooke), Michaela Thacker and Casey Wilburger. Her 12 great grandchildren gave her the biggest smile of all; Bradley, Brantley, Haylie, Landon, Lillian, Abigayle, Emily, Kynsleigh, Christopher Jr, Elaine, Breanna, and RJ. 

She loved and was loved by many other family members and friends. Everyone who knew her will miss her tremendously. 

Marie had the biggest heart making sure her family was taken care of and was the glue that kept her family together. She loved decorating her home with flowers and pictures of loved ones, music, trips to goodwill, and Queen Elizabeth. She was a faithful devoted member of Full Gospel Assembly. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ronnie Sipe officiating.

Pallbearers will include Thomas D. Thacker, Thomas D. Thacker Jr, Chris Thacker, Rodney Houchens, Ronnie Sipe Jr and Kevin McDaniel.
