On Friday, February 6th, Frederick Evan Rogers Sr. was called home to be with our lord and Savior. He lived a life of honor, respect, and hard work. He worked 38 years at the Greene Hills golf course. In his free time, he loved tinkering with old cars and small engines. He loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Jr. Rogers, and his mother, Murvel Maxine Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Marie Rogers, and their three children: Frederick Evan Rogers (wife) and Michelle Rogers. Terry Morris (Husband), Joey Morris, and son Robert Roach. He is also survived by his siblings, Tina Rogers, Carol Sue Lamb, Gloria Nicholson, Theresa McDaniel, David Rogers, and Walter Rogers (Dink). He leaves behind eight grandchildren who were his pride and Joy. Sakayla Roach, special grandson Ryan Rogers, who helped care for him, Jazzlynn Meadows, Khloe Rogers, Joseph Morris, Lucas Morris (his rattlesnake), one special grandson who was like a son to him, Joshua Ruffner Jr.; three grandchildren not by blood but by choice Gideon Morris, Chelsey Smith, Scott Randall; and he leaves behind one great grandson Keaton Randall (grump grump).
He was always ready to lend a hand and give the shirt off his back, even if he had nothing to give. Being this way, he made many friends, but he had one special friend he left behind: Tommy Shifflett. We can only wish to live a life as meaningful as his. He left this world with an undying faith, and in that, he has brought peace to all of his friends and family.
