Gaines Fulton Barnett, 68, of Ruckersville passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home.
He was born August 19, 1947, son of the late Gaines L. and Mary E. Barnett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Hicks; brother, Charles Barnett and nephew, Chris Hicks.
Gaines is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Christine Barnett; daughter, Lisa Acree and her husband, Matt; son, Gaines Michael Barnett and his fiancée, Lawanda Martin; grandchildren, Christopher Acree, Lindsey Acree, Joseph Barnett and Jordan Barnett; special niece, Kim Jones; brother-in-law, Garry Hicks; and many other family members and friends.
He was employed as an assistant manager at the Culpeper Wal Mart for many years. Gaines was a member of Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Barnett requested to be cremated with no viewing.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, Virginia.
