Geneva Morris, 85, of Dyke, VA died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1927 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Leonard and Louise Morris.
Mrs. Morris was a member of the Mt. Grove Chapel Church of Dyke. She was loved dearly and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Crawford and her husband, Ellis, Lena Hughes and her husband, Kenny and Madeline Snow all of Dyke.
Additional survivors include her sisters, Arbutis Stephens of Crozet, Naomi Crawford and Rozenia Shifflett both of Dyke, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Morris, a very special friend, George (Pat) Sheehan and three sisters, Flossie Watson, Juanita Shifflett and Freddie Morris.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 12 p.m. at Mt. Grove Chapel Church in Dyke with Rev. Jim Jinks officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
