George Curtis Roberts
George Curtis Roberts, 79, of Stanardsville, VA died on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 15, 1935 in Greene County to the late John and Nettie Shifflett Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a member of Nortonsville Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his brother, Wilmer W. Roberts, his sister, Arvinnie Shifflett, a special friend, Lillian Frazier and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Roberts and his sister, Eleanor Lawson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Harbor, Grace Health and Rehab and Hospice of the Piedmont for all of their excellent care.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pky, Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911.
