Gilbert Jean Tynan

On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Gilbert J. Tynan passed away in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Gilbert Tynan was married to Hazel K. Tynan who preceded him in death on November 25, 2008.

He is survived by his three daughters, Denise A. Tynan, Sharon M. Lindemann and Robin J. Aubrey; son, Mark G. Tynan; son-in-laws, Gary Lindemann and Michael T. Aubrey; grandchildren, Taavo Lindemann, Lena K. Aubrey and Maureen R. Aubrey; and family friend, Ken Inglima.

Gilbert worked at Fairchild Republic and New York Telephone.  He retired and then moved to Virginia in 1996.  Gilbert enjoyed traveling, rock hounding and spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.  Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail Charlottesville, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gilbert’s memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911.
