Glace Mallory Deane
Glace Mallory Deane, 90, of Charlottesville went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2015.
Glace was born on November 8, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but she was a lifelong resident of Charlottesville. She was the daughter of the late Russell B. Mallory and Verdie Bradshaw Mallory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ashby G. Deane; and a brother, Harold B. Mallory.
Glace is survived by her four sons, Ashby G. Deane, Jr. and his wife, Cindy of Scottsville, Gerald S. Deane and his wife, Page of Keswick, Rusty L. Deane of Troy, and Timmy L. Deane and his wife, Pat of Charlottesville; her grandchildren, Ernest W. Deane and his fiancée, Autumn, Stephanie Falwell and her husband, Timmy, Tracie Deane and significant other Buck Jenkins, Ashley Deane and significant other Brandon Sullivan, Naomi Tucker, Rusty Deane, Jr. and Eric Deane; her great grandchildren, Nathan Eubanks, Mckenzie Eubanks, Blake Jenkins, Brooke Falwell, Kayden Deane, Aria Deane, Madison Deane, Alex Tucker, Brayden Tucker and Benjamin Tucker.
She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margie Mallory of Newport News; nieces, Kay Byrd of Georgia, Susan Baldwin of Chesapeake; nephews, Mike Mallory of Hayes and Wayne Mallory of Hampton; special friends, Ann Shifflett, Michelle Farmer, Jimmy Naylor and Brenda Deane.
Glace was a graduate of Lane High School and a member of First Baptist Church. She was an avid Cavalier basketball fan who enjoyed bingo and cooking for her family.
Precious memories of Glace will be cherished by those she loved and touched.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Lamb and H. Randall Shiflett officiating. Interment will follow at Stanardsville Cemetery.
