Grace Patterson Morris

Grace Patterson Morris, 89, of Ruckersville, Virginia, died on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at her home. She was born on April 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Earl S. Patterson and Mary Woodson Patterson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Daniel Morris, Jr; five brothers, Stanley Patterson, John D. Patterson, Franklin L. Patterson, Edward C. Patterson, and Roger W. Patterson; four sisters, Martha J. Owens, Katherine P. Coffey, Barbara A. Aberhansen, and Dorothy P. Jones.

Grace is survived by three stepchildren, Calvin Morris, Rodney Morris, and Regina Morris Davis; four grandchildren, Jody Morris, Jeremy Morris, Jason Morris, and Casey Morris.

Grace was employed by Albemarle County Circuit Court Clerks Office and retired after 36 years of service.

The family would like to thank all those who served as a caregiver to Grace during her long battle of dementia. A special thank you to Laurie, Becky, Tina, and Phyllis.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor David Allison officiating.
