Harold Steven Sims, Sr.

Harold Steven Sims, 73, better known as Steve, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2022.

Steve was born September 25, 1948, son of the late Mosby and Cora Sims of Wolftown, Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Frye and Fannie Gibbs; brothers, Clarence Sims and Curtis Sims; sister-in-law, Lillian Sims; and grandson, Seth Sims.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary E. Sims; daughter, Gail Brent (Andy) of Ruckersville, Virginia; two sons, Harold Sims, Jr. (Tiffany) of Star, Idaho and Tyrone Sims (Lucy) of Charlottesville, Virginia; five grandchildren, Jill Sims, R.J. Brent, Daylon Sims, Kolbi Sims and Jaden Sims; three sisters, Esther Hart, Virgie Sims and Audrey Lewis; sisters-in-law, Virie Sims of Orange, Virginia, Goldie Rawlings, Barbara Taylor and Rosa Massenburg all of Charlottesville, Virginia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, Virginia 22968.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Sherman Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hall Cemetery.
