Jacob Randolph Haught

Jacob Randolph Haught, 70, of Barboursville, Va. died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Martha Jefferson Hospital. Born August 27, 1952, in Charlottesville, Va. to the late Jacob and Mary Haught.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Merea Haught. 

He is survived by two sons, Troy, and Joseph Haught (Shelby); grandchildren, Anya, Kane, Ian, Farrah, Kason, Gabriel, Samantha, Jacob, Katie, Luke.

Jacob worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) as a surveyor for many years. He was a quiet and simple man who enjoy sitting on his porch relaxing. He had a passion for golf, and especially liked watching Tiger Woods. In addition to his family, he loved his two cats, Annie and Molly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 6-8p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 11a.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home.
