James H. Smith
James H. Smith, 84, of Springfield passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013.
He was born July 6, 1929 in Michigan, son of the late Harold Smith and Eva Barton Smith. James was the last surviving of their children.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Lucille Wildman Smith; and one daughter, Diane Lynn Smith.
James is survived by five sons, James Smith of Dillwyn, Virginia, Dale Smith of Columbus, Ohio, Donald Smith of Rayland, Ohio, Ray Smith of Bellaire, Ohio, Tim Smith of Nappanee, Indiana; five daughters, Janet Janos of Bridgeport, Ohio, Patricia Crawford of Louisa, Virginia, Connie Ice of Springfield, Virginia, Debra Heatherington also of Louisa, Virginia, Gloria Zanes of Rayland, Ohio; 29 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor James Heyward officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
