Jane Elizabeth Tharp

Jane Elizabeth Tharp, 92, formerly of Edinburg, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022.

She was born June 16, 1930 in Woodstock, VA, daughter of the late Charles William Reedy and Fannie Elizabeth Reedy.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Tharp, who she married on August 7, 1950 and died on December 16, 1985.

Jane is survived by her son, James Tharp (Debbie) of Edinburg, VA and daughter, Sue Osborne (David) of Stanardsville, VA; four grandchildren, Patrei Ningen of Frederick, MD, Jamie Tharp (Mandy) of Edinburg, VA, Bradley Osborne (Kari) of St. Peters, MO, Lyndsey Daugherty (Kyle) of Oklahoma City, OK; ten great-grandchildren, Tyler Raymond, Ethan and Brooke Carr, Kali Bowers (Jake), Lilly, Sydney, Haley, and Kelsey Tharp, Jackson and Oliver Daughtery; one great-great grandchild, Jaxon Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am August 4, 2022 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Edinburg, VA led by Pastor Matthew Diehl. Interment to follow at 2:30pm at Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg, VA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jane's memory to the Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department and/or Edinburg VFW Post 2447.
