Jean Elizabeth Dale, 60, of Stanardsville, and a former resident of Portsmouth, VA passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on October 1, 1953 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Julian and Alma Hicks Dale.
Jean was a member of Stanardsville Baptist Church and a resident of Grace Health and Rehabilitation.
She is survived by her brothers, Wilbur Dale and Vincent Dale of Stanardsville, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Pastor Mike Peedin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd, Chesapeake, VA 23321.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s name to the American Diabetes Association, 4335 Cox Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
