Jesse Warren Harlow

Jesse Warren Harlow, 88, of Ruckersville, VA died on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1926 in Maryland to the late Warren and Bonnie McDaniel Harlow.

 Mr. Harlow was a hard working self employed mason contractor who enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt, meet with his friends at Burger King and when he was younger he enjoyed playing ball. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

 He is survived by his children, Michael Harlow, Timmy Harlow, Andy and Becky Harlow all of Ruckersville, Jeanette Schaar and her partner, Bob Bullock, Loretta and Bobby Madison, Wanda and Gary Roach all of Ruckersville and Bonnie Jones of Stanardsville, 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

 Additional survivors include his siblings, Daisy Harlow of College Park, MD, Omer Harlow of Ruckersville, Meryl Cason of Ruckersville, Carlton Harlow and his wife, Pat of Ruckersville, Rachel Falwell and her husband, Ronnie of Frederick, MD and Gloria Welch and her husband, Kenny of Ruckersville.

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Ruby Arlene Harlow, his son, Malcolm Harlow, his daughter, Alice Abshire and his sister, Ethel Gibson.

 The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.

 A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Lamb officiating.

 Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
