John Charles Fisk

John Charles Fisk, 88, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.

John was born June 29, 1933 in Charlottesville, Virginia, son of the late Freeman John Fisk and Edith Forstrum Fisk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Fisk;  a daughter, Rebecca Fisk; and  brothers, Paul Freeman Fisk and George Roy Fisk.

John is survived by his wife, Madeline R. Kerr of Ruckersville, Virginia; children, Patricia Moody (Doug) of Kernersville, North Carolina, Adele Ramsey (fiancé, Tommy Sprouse) of Staunton, Virginia, Karen Kerr of Ruckersville, Virginia, Wanda McClenahan (Kent) of Berryville, Virginia and Kevin Kerr of Ruckersville, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

When asked how he wanted to be remembered, John responded by saying, “I loved and honored God and fully utilized the skills he gave to me for my livelihood and to help serve others. I loved my family and friends. I loved my wife, Madeline, with a passion and was thankful for her generous heart and trusting nature to allow me freedom to be myself.”

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Saint John the Baptist Episcopal Church Cemetery, 4712 Dick Woods Road Charlottesville, VA 22903 with Pastor Roger Browning officiating.
