John Anthony Robertson

John Anthony Robertson, Jr., 57, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

John Anthony was born March 23, 1965 in Charlottesville, Virginia, the son of Mary Morris Robertson and the late John A. Robertson, Sr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Wayne Robertson; grandparents, Wilson and Jessie Robertson, Claude and Marie Morris.

Anthony is survived by his loving mother, Mary Morris Robertson; brother, Keith Wade Robertson; aunts, Lena Taylor, Margie Shifflett (Wayne), Ethel Smith (Steve), Doris Breeden (John), Peggy Shifflettt (Frank), Patricia Morris (Bunky) and Jane Brookman; uncles, Kenny Morris and Robert Morris (Cindy).

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, who he dearly loved, including two very dear to his heart, Brian Shifflett and Chad Roach.

Anthony was an avid fisherman and competed in many tournaments.  He enjoyed watching NFL football and a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. However, rock crawling was his passion being known to all of his friends as “Wide Open.”

He was employed with Kloeckner Pentaplast for 35 years.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.  Interment will follow at High Top Cemetery.
