Joon Ho Cha

Joon Ho Cha, 92, of Charlottesville, VA passed away on January 29, 2023. Mr. Cha was born on May 4, 1930 in South Korea and was the son of the late Haeng Soon and Myung-Ah Cha. 
He is survived by his son Greg Cha, daughters In-Yeong Song, Yoon Yeong Yoo, Gyeong Yeong Park, Hannah Hoshino, and grandchildren Jeffery, Kris, Kitae, Yuna, Nicky, Reina, Erica, Sean, Alex, and Ethan. 
He was a graduate of Joong Ang High School and a member of the Korean Community Church in Charlottesville. He worked at Commercial Bank of Korea in New York City for 17 years. He was also a South Korean Military Veteran of the Korean War. 
On October 10, 1956 he married Late Ranhi Cha whom preceded him in death on April 13, 2014. 
A funeral was held on February 1, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byung Y. Ju officiating. Interment followed at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
