Journey Elwood Morris

Journey Elwood Morris, 75, of Alexandria, VA passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1940 in Greene County, VA to the late Lester Lee Morris and Julia Shifflett Morris.
He is survived by his children, Journey E. Morris, Jr. and Sue A. Loving and her husband, Vern; two siblings, Norman Morris and Katherine Morris; three grandchildren, Justin Carr, Amber Clements, and Trevor Loving; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Morris, Bernice Wood and Dorothy Lewis.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with the Rev. C. C. Kurtz officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Interment will follow in Stanardsville Cemetery.
