Justin Frederick Peck, known affectionately as "Boomer," passed away on August 22, 2024, in Charlottesville, Virginia, at the age of 26. Born on May 18, 1998, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Justin's warmth and kindness touched all who knew him.
Justin attended Hollymead Elementary and Albemarle High School before pursuing higher education at Hampden Sydney and James Madison University. He later embarked on a career as an Operations Specialist at Morgan Stanley in Boston, Massachusetts, where his diligence and work ethic were highly valued.
A gentle giant with a beautiful smile, Justin was a beacon of kindness. He cherished his family deeply, especially his sisters, and enjoyed spending quality time with them. His love for sports, all Boston sports teams, the Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins, was only matched by his passion for playing golf with his father and friends and mowing with the Kubota tractor at his parents' farm in Barboursville, Virginia.
Justin is survived by his loving parents, Frederick C. Peck III and Susan E. Peck; sisters, Kelsey Noble and brother-in-law Luke and Emily Peck with her fiancée Nathan; grandmother, Gertrude Gerlach (Oma); nephew, Shepherd Crew Noble; niece, Collins "Co-Co" Noble; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth W. Gerlach (Opa), with whom he shared a birthday and cherished many birthday lunches, and his paternal grandparents, Frederick C. Peck II (Pappy) and Theresa Anne Kowal (Peck).
A memorial service is planned for November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. The family has entrusted arrangements to Batten Funeral Home, located at 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, Virginia, 22968. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Justin's memory may be made to LifeNet, which supports the causes he held dear, and to the SPCA, where Justin adopted his sweet dog, Vince. Justin's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever be cherished and remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
