Kenneth Earl Chapman, 71, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away April 21, 2017.
Kenny was born May 14, 1945 in Stanardsville, son of late Nathaniel “Journey” Chapman and Pearl Gentry Chapman.
He was married to Bernice on April 24, 1964. They were married for 53 years.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Bernice; eldest son, Scott and his wife, Virginia; son, Brian; grandchildren, Krysten, Lizzie, Kaleigh and Maddie; brother, Alvin Chapman and his wife, Pat; Alvin’s daughters, Laurie and Carla; brother-in-law, Wilmer Shifflett; Wilmer’s children, Daphne and Wendell; sister-in-law, Eva Shifflett and her son, Jeffrey; special friend, Paul Morris; as well as many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, April 24, 2017 at Evergreen Church of the Brethren, 645 Evergreen Church Road, Stanardsville, VA with the Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
