Larry Eugene Green
Larry Eugene Green, 62, of Stanardsville, VA died on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on December 6, 1949 in Jenkins, KY to Betty Jo Vanover Green and the late Elmer Eugene Green.
Mr. Green was a member of the Greene Hills Club for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Above all his love was in his family. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy W. Green, his son, Nathan Ross Green and his wife, Leslie of Christiansburg, VA, and his brother, Jerry Green and his wife, Phyllis of Richmond, VA, niece, Jennifer Walthall and her husband, Jamey, and their children, Ava and Emma; and nephew, Michael Green and his wife, April and their children, Lane and Clara Jane.
Additional survivors include his aunt, Phyllis Oliver and her husband, Cliff and two cousins, Tommy Reynolds and Deanna Waddle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Greene County Rescue Squad, PO Box 302 Stanardsville, VA 22973.
