Laurence Stimis Bohannon, Jr., 77, of Barboursville, VA passed away at his home on Saturday, July 7, 2018.
He was born June 2, 1941 in Roanoke County, VA, son of the late Laurence S. and Sarah Bohannon.
Bo is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Bohannon; children, Tanya Gray, William Bohannon (Pattie), Mike Morris, Angie Brill (Dwight) and Holly Carden (Eddie); siblings, Lewis Bohannon (Susie), Virginia Bohannon; grandchildren, Austin Gray (Brooke), Garrison Gray, Morgan Bohannon Rock (Patrick), Erin Bohannon, Kendra Arias (Gabriel), Katie Brill, Kelly Womack (Jake), Trent Carden and Lainey Carden; great grandchildren, Noah, Cohen and Mayanne Womack; and In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Bohannon.
A private graveside service was held on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Holly Memorial Gardens.
Bo was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always put the needs of others ahead of his own. After proudly serving his country in the United States Military, he was employed at Merchant’s Tire as a Sales Manager until retirement. He would often be found riding his John Deere when not helping others with their own yard work. Bo was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church for many years and was greatly loved by his family and friends. Although our hearts are heavy, we know that Bo is in a better place because of his relationship with Jesus Christ.
A service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
