Linda Wydner Shifflett, 67, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. She was born on May 17, 1947 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Fred and Stella Wydner.
Linda was a member of Bingham United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful seamstress who loved doing upholstery work and being a devoted caregiver to so many.
Her sweet and loving nature will always be remembered by her husband of 47 years, Carl Edwin Shifflett; her daughter, Melinda Allen Mullins and her husband, William; 4 granddaughters, Morgan Leigh, Leigh Ann, Zetta Leigh and Leigh May; 2 brothers, Fred Wydner, Jr and his wife, Fran and William Wydner and his wife, Debbie; 3 special dogs, Ricky, Scottie and Jake and a host of extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Pastor Buster Payne officiating.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Martha Jefferson Hospital for their compassion shown during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Greene County Animal Shelter, PO Box 358 Stanardsville, VA 22973 & / or Bingham United Methodist Church, c/o William Payne, 9724 Louisa Road, Gordonsville, VA 22942.
