Loyd Jake Deane

Loyd “Mousey” Jake Deane, 85, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. 
Born on March 27, 1937, he was the son of the late Jake and Addie Deane. He was the last surviving of thirteen children. He is preceded in death by his wife Goldie Ann Deane and grandson Kenny Deane who passed away in 2014. 
He is survived by his son Lloyde “Willie” E. Deane and wife Karen. 
Mousey loved to trout fish with his friends in Mutton Hollow. In his spare time he worked in his garden and used his shop to do small engine repairs for neighbors and friends.  
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Mount Hermon Mennonite Church with Pastor’s Eddie Dean, Johnathan Lee, and Vernon Peachy officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel.
