Malcolm N. Durrer, Jr., 94, of Ruckersville passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2015. He was the son of the late Malcolm N. Durrer and Nannie Adams Durrer.
He is survived by his wife; Maxine M. Durrer; Niece, Doris R. Watts and Nephews, Larry Rector and Hayden Rector all of Taylorsville, NC; Great Niece, Anne W. Grassler and her husband Paul of Staunton; Great Nephew, Franklin Glenn Watts of Taylorsville, NC; Great-Great Niece, Sarah A. Munsey of Staunton who was like a granddaughter to him; Cousin, Marie Haney of Ruckersville.
Malcolm proudly served his country in the United States Army in World War II, and was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville VA 22968.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2015 one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Greene Co. Rescue Squad, 9845 Spotswood Trail, Stanardsville VA 22973 or Greene Co. Sheriff’s Dept., 10005 Spotswood Trail, Stanardsville VA 22973.
