Margaret Louise Brackett, 82, of Charlottesville, VA passed away February 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 20, 1934 in Nelson County, daughter of the late John Emmet Stevens and Sallie Mae Dawson Stevens.
Margaret is survived by her children, Tyrone Lee Brackett, Sr. and his wife, Arnetta, Mary Dianne Baskfield and her husband, Louis, Daniel Marshall Brackett, Clarasteen Tomes, and Judith Mariette Johnson and her husband, Arnold; two brothers, Leroy Stevens and his wife, Gretchen and George Stevens and his wife, Deborah; three sisters, Mary Byers and her husband, Donald, Annie Hyde and her husband, James, and Janie Starks and her husband, Oliver; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great- great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Marshall Brackett; and brother, Wayne Stevens.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Charlottesville West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness with Raymond Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
